Intensive Swimming Program

Aquatic activities play a significant role in the lifestyle of many Australians. Therefore it is essential that students are aware of the importance of water safety and are equipped with the necessary skills of safety and survival.

The School Swimming and Water Safety Program is a learn to swim and water safety program that develops water confidence and provides students with basic skills in water safety and survival for students. The Program operates daily lessons of 1 hour over 10 consecutive school days. The intensive nature of the lessons provide the most beneficial student outcomes.

Our Intensive swimming program takes place in Term 4 at the local Kootingal Swimming Pool. This program is available to all students in K-2 and any other non-swimmers from Year 3-6. The Government funds qualified Instructors to provide swimming and water safety instruction. The cost to parents for this program is approx. $60 per child. This covers the cost of entry to the pool and the travel by bus to and from the pool.
